About ENSIE

ENSIE is a European network that takes for its objective the representation, maintenance and development within Europe of networks and federations of Work Integration Social Enterprises (WISEs). Currently, ENSIE gathers 32 national and regional networks, representing 19 EU countries (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden) and in Azerbaijan, Moldova, North Macedonia, Serbia and Ukraine. All these networks pursue, in a manner adapted to local constraints, objectives of social integration of disadvantaged people.

ENSIE's objectives are:

• to reinforce the power of the actors in work integration social enterprises through the interchange between the member organisations,

• to stimulate co-operation and partnerships by promoting proper practices, share research results and new applications,

• to organise the exchange of information on national and local legislative policy levels between member organisations,

• to represent the network and to promote all its activities at all relevant European levels,

• to elaborate contributions and positions in order to participate in the definition of European policies against social exclusion,

• to develop a close and solid collaboration with other European networks active in the social economy with the objective of obtaining synergetic results.

Research Internship offer

We are looking for a junior profile willing to complete their ongoing studies with an exciting experience in Brussels (Belgium).

Description of the tasks

• To support the Communication Officer for the research related to the update of a database of European WISEs and a database related to WISEs participation in public procurement;

• To support the Communication Officer in the internal and external communication field (web-site, social media: facebook, twitter, linkedIn);

• To support the implementation of the DIGIT-ABLE and WISESHIFT projects;

• To support the whole team to implement activities of the annual work plan, organisation of events and webinars included;

• To attends European events and write up minutes and translation.

• Update of the wisebusiness.eu platform.

Profile

  • Higher education/University student/graduate in political science, european relations, international relations, social economy, IT and communications or related field;
  • Fluency, oral and written, in English and French;
  • Developed organisational skills with a sense of initiative;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Research skills: how to find relevant information, how to systemise the information;
  • Communication skills: IT and computer skills in usual Windows applications; Social media management skills; Experience in producing materials for the online environment – notably social media – with photo and video editing tools.

Financial conditions

Reimbursement of local public transport expenses and assistance with lunch expenses.

Up to €300 reimbursement for one trip home during the contract.

The student should follow the internship in the framework of an existing university program.

Duration

The preferred duration of the internship is at least 3 months. We are looking for a candidate from beginning of September 2026 and on.
