ADV Romania Foundation, member of RISE, ENSIE’s member in Romania, is part of a consortium, AFIN that aims to be the first non-banking financial institution with private capital dedicated exclusively to the social economy sector in Romania. Recently, AFIN was authorised to function as a social enterprise.
AFIN is the initiative of the consortium formed by ADV Romania Foundation, the European Federation of Ethical and Alternative Banks (FEBEA) and Patria Credit IFN. AFIN will offer alternative financial solutions dedicated to the social economy sector. The institution aims to facilitate access to financing for economic operators with social and environmental impact.
The institution, which is in the process of being authorised by the National Bank of Romania, will be the first non financial bank institution in Romania that will operate as a social enterprise authorised according to the law.
AFIN is also the first participatory social investment project in Romania. The start-up capital was constituted by the contribution of over 170 founding shareholders - mostly NGOs with economic activity, social entrepreneurs, commercial companies with a social purpose, workers in the social impact sector.

The AFIN project - Romanian Alternative FINancing Institution Dedicated to Social Enterprises VP/2019/015/0035 was financed by the European Union, through the European Program for Employment and Social Innovation "EaSI" (2014-2020).

ADV Romania Foundation, membre de RISE, le membre d’ENSIE en Roumanie, fait partie d’un consortium, AFIN qui vise à créer la première institution financière non bancaire, avec un capital privé dédié exclusivement au secteur de l’économie sociale en Roumanie. Récemment, AFIN a été autorisé à fonctionner en tant qu’entreprise sociale.

Le capital de la start-up a été constitué par la contribution de plus de 170 actionnaires fondateurs – principalement des ONG avec une activité économique, des entrepreneurs sociaux, des entreprises commerciales avec un objectif social et des travailleurs dans le secteur de l’impact social.
