ENSIE is glad to welcome a new member, A3S !
A3S is a non-profit association that provides consulting, evaluation, action-research, education & training services for the consolidation of sustainable, participatory and inclusive development alternatives. They promote social entrepreneurship and the development of social and solidarity economy. A3S was founded in 2006, it intervenes at the local, regional, national, European and African level.
They propose capacity building services : co-construction of flexible solutions, adapted to the requests and needs, in the participation of stakeholders and in the orientation towards results, with objectives of continuous improvement of organisational, individual and community performances.
They focus on five specific topics: the Work integration of vulnerable people; the Capacitation and organizational development; Inclusion through art; Education and training for social and solidarity economy and Cooperation and development.
In 2011, A3S participated into the creation of RESIT, the Portuguese network of work integration social enterprises (WISEs). Alas, the Portuguese law was stopped in 2015, and the WISEs have not been recognized since then. RESIT dissolved officially in 2020. However, since 2019 an informal work group of community of practice on work integration has been created and it is in this name that A3S joined ENSIE. Their goal is to work towards a new law acknowledging WISEs and to recreate a new strong WISEs network in Portugal.
They are currently Partners in numerous projects, some of them alongside ENSIE: JustGreen, Net-Works, AMTCC, SBI – “Study on the impact of the Social Business Initiative”, Symfos for youth care, Projecto Collectitude “Building the collective at times of precarity”.

A3S est une association a but non-lucratif qui fournit des services de consultances, d’évaluation d’action et de recherché, d’éducation et de formation pour des alternatives de développement durables, participatives et inclusives. Ils promeuvent l’entrepreneuriat social et le développement de l’économie sociale et solidaire. A3S a été fondée en 2006 et intervient au niveau local, régional, national, ainsi qu’aux niveaux européen et africain.
A3S propose des services de renforcement des capacités: co-construction de solutions flexibles, adaptation aux résultats et aux besoins, participation des parties prenantes et orientation vers les résultats avec l’objectif d’améliorer continuellement les performances organisationnelles, individuelles et communautaires.
Ils se concentrent sur cinq thématiques : l’intégration par le travail des personnes défavorisées, la montée en compétence et le développement organisationnel, l’insertion à travers l’art, l’éducation et la formation pour l’économie sociale et la coopération et le développement.
En 2011, A3S a participé à la création de RESIT, le Réseau portugais d’entreprises sociales d’insertions (ESI). Hélas, la loi portugaise a été arrêtée en 2015 et les ESI ne sont plus reconnues depuis. RESIT a été officiellement dissoute en 2020. Cependant, depuis 2019, un groupe informel de travail et une communié de pratiques sur l’insertion par le travail a été créée et c’est dans ce cadre qu’A3S a rejoint ENSIE. Leur objectif est de travailler pour une nouvelle loi reconnaissant les ESI et la reconstruction d’un fort réseau d’ESI au Portugal.
A3S est actuellement partenaires dans de nombreux projets, pour certains en compagnie d’ENSIE: JustGreen, Net-Works, AMTCC, SBI – “Study on the impact of the Social Business Initiative”, Symfos for youth care, Projecto Collectitude “Building the collective at times of precarity”.
