Contribution on public consultation on the definition of SMEs

The EU Commission is currently preparing for an evaluation and possible revision of some aspects of the SME definition. This public consultation is part of this process and allow any interested actor to provide feedback on the evaluation and impact assessment of the SME definition. It is a widely used tool in EU policies. This is why it was important that ENSIE contribute to this public consultation.

European seminar "The Partnerships of Work Integration Social Enterprises" - 5/06/2015

ENSIE organised the European seminar "The Partnerships of Work Integration Social Enterprises" in partnership with the Spanish network FAEDEI (Federación de Asociaciones Empresariales De Empresas de Inserción) and the Catalan network FEICAT (Empreses d’Inserció de Catalunya) with the support of the European Commission, the government of Catalonia and the Foundation «la Caixa ».

Public consultation on the Small Business Act (SBA) "A strong European policy to support Small and Medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and entrepreneurs 2015-2020" - 15/12/2014

The aim of this public consultation is to gather feed-back and ideas on how the Small Business Act for Europe should be revised to continue a strong European policy to support Small and Medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and entrepreneurs in 2015-2020.

Consultation on the European Commission 2011-2014 CSR strategy: achievements, shortcomings and future challenges - 05/09/2014

Corporate social responsibility refers to companies voluntarily going beyond what the law requires to achieve social and environmental objectives during the course of their daily business activities. It covers a range of areas:

  • Europe 2020 (especially new skills and jobs, youth, local development)
  • Business and human rights
  • CSR reporting
  • Socially responsible public procurement

Public consultation "Consultation on Industrial Policy Communication 2012" - 7/08/2012

The European Commission industrial policy flagship of 2010 laid out a strategy for sustainable growth, competitiveness and job creation in the context of Europe 2020. The 2012 review of the industrial policy communication will be adopted by the Commission in September 2012. The new communication should focus on a limited number of new initiatives capable of effectively delivering results to tackle the economic crisis in the short to medium term, as well as actions aiming at correcting or eliminating problems that may have been detected in the implementation of our industrial policy strategy. The responses to the questionnaire will help the Commission identify policy priorities and develop appropriate policy responses.

Public consultation "European Accessibility Act" - 29/02/2012

In the framework of its Progress projects and in order to better integrate the cross-cutting issues (e.g. gender, poverty, non discrimination) ENSIE answered to the European consultation with a view on a European Accessibility Act, in collaboration with other Social Economy Europe members organisations.

The Commission is reflecting on the development of a European Accessibility Act containing measures to improve the accessibility of goods and services in the European market. This consultation is part of the preparatory data collection that will underpin the assessment of the impact of the measures.

Public consultation "Single Market Act" - 28/02/2011

The Single Market Act has been adopted by the European Commission on 27 October 2010. It consists of 50 policy proposals that are being submitted to public debate for a four month period running up to 28 February 2011. Following this, the Commission will propose to seal the commitment of the other Institutions on a final version of the Single Market Act. Source: European Commission

Public consultation "Small Business Act for Europe: Small and medium sized enterprises" - 31/03/2008

Adopted in June 2008, the "Small Business Act" for Europe reflects the Commission's political will to recognise the central role of SMEs in the EU economy and for the first time puts into place a comprehensive SME policy framework for the EU and its Member States. Source: European Commission
