De Omslag is an independent, non-profit networking organization working on the issue of participation and work. De Omslag is based in Amsterdam. It is the hub for linking, collaboration and exchange of expertise between a large number of organizations in field of the mental health, social care, addiction, disability, welfare, education and work. De Omslag is also the initiator of the Amsterdam Platform for social firms. Our goal is to improve participation of disadvantaged, disabled and vulnerable groups in Amsterdam.
For this, De Omslag takes on many activities in the service of an inclusive society and social economy through the linking of networks, knowledge sharing, innovative projects and the development and management of digital matching tools. An important issue is connecting care networks to businesses and strengthening the social sector firms (WISE's) in Amsterdam.
The European Conference 'Social Inclusion, Work Integration and Social Entrepreneurship – Make It Work!' will take place on 10-12 November 2014, in Amsterdam, Nederlands. Policy-makers, practitioners, social entrepreneurs, workers and other stakeholders in the field of social inclusion and work integration will share their knowledge and expertise during plenary sessions, workshops and in policy debates. Good practice examples will be presented and there is a separate site visit programme. The conference will also highlight the results and outcomes of the European INWORK Project and launch an online toolkit for work integration. Check the updated Programme
