Towards a European Action Plan 2017 for Social Economy

Listening to the different speeches of the last social economy intergroup was very reassuring. Jens Nielson,  Co-President of the Social Economy Intergroup, confirmed the European Parliament pushing for a European Action Plan 2017 for Social Economy. Ariane Rodert, Vice-President of the EESC’s Group III, stressed the importance of having this plan. Last but absolutiste not least, Slawomir Tokarski, Director for Innovation and Advanced Manufacturing, DG Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs, European Commission also if not talking about the plan directly, confirmed that European Commissioners Bienkowska and Thyssen want to leave social economy as an High point of 2017 agenda.
